What Members Can Do to Help: Atlantic Regional is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. Members can help by following these simple guidelines:

If someone calls you explaining the call is on behalf of the credit union and asks for your account number, you should beware. Official credit union staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.

Atlantic Regional’s Online Security Measures: The goal of Atlantic Regional is to provide our members with the convenience of Internet delivery channels and to maintain the privacy of their confidential information. Atlantic Regional’s CU-Online® home banking application uses industry standard security features, as outlined below, to assure the confidentiality of this information. Access to your accounts through CU-Online® is provided only after your application is verified.

  • Atlantic Regional’s online membership and loan applications areas use secure communication, which means that they will only allow browsers that support Secure Socket Layers (SSL). SSL ensures that electronic data communicated between your browser and Atlantic Regional sites cannot be read by a third party even if the data is intercepted. Atlantic Regional suggests that you use a browser with 128-bit encryption, readily available from manufacturers such as Netscape® or Microsoft®.
  • CU-Online® home banking requires that you enter your member number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to verify your identity. The application denies access after a certain number of invalid attempts.
  • Atlantic Regional’s CU-Online® home banking application has a timer that will end your session if you do not interact with the site for a predefined period of time.
  • Atlantic Regional’s CU-Online® home banking application uses a state-of-the-art firewall that serves as a control point to stop invasive data from entering our systems and assuring that only authorized data leaves our systems.
  • Atlantic Regional’s CU-Online® home banking application uses the services of VeriSign's® Global (128-bit) ID service. (VeriSign® is a leading provider of encryption technology for secure transmission of data in an electronic commerce environment.) This service allows us to exchange information with members world wide using 128-bit encryption.

Maintenance of Accurate Information: Atlantic Regional commits to maintaining accurate and complete financial information for our members. If, for any reason, you feel the information we have on your relationship with Atlantic Regional is not accurate or is incomplete, please contact us immediately at 55 Cushing Street, P.O.
